I finally finished one of my student teaching placement observations. It was interesting to say the least. My teacher is O-L-D. Which I assumed would mean that she was set in her ways...and I was anticipating some really awesome discipline plans and lesson plans. Needless to say, I was disappointed. That was one of the only times I felt out of place in a classroom. The students listened to ME more than they did their regular teacher. But I suppose it'll be different in the fall...at least I hope it will. Oh and I learned that the teacher suffers from some type of disorder (I forget the fancy sounding name) that makes it highly uncomfortable for her to be touched. And she teaches 2nd grade...wow.
Hanging out with Amanda and her crew was awesome as usual. I heart her kids so. There is nothing like being greeted by cries of Miss Blaire Miss Blaire! when you walk into a room! It's nice to live vicariously through her =] It makes me want to be a mom even more...but all in do time, which is quite comforting. Because when I AM ready, she'll have teenagers and I can get all her cool baby stuff. Plus she'll have great advice. I count myself blessed and lucky to have such amazing friends. All in all, it was a mighty fine day.
